da betway: Dan Bardell and Tom Julian got together for the final episode of The Villa View Podcast and discussed Aston Villa’s defeat to Manchester City and the man who made it all happen as well.
da brdice: Kevin De Bruyne being head and shoulders above the rest is not really the surprising piece of news you’ll hear today but the Belgian international was once again sensational last weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s men won 2-1 and secured another trophy for their cabinet and Bardell thinks it was their midfielder who was pulling the strings after entering the pitch.
Here’s what he said for The Villa View Podcast (3/3/2020): “He’s unbelievable isn’t he? So, so good. He was pulling the strings completely as a masterclass in there for the first 10 minutes when he came on and after he fell over. He was really, really good.”
De Bruyne entered the pitch just before the hour mark, deployed one key pass, attempted seven crosses and four dribbles and tallied 38 touches by the end of the night (via SofaScore).
Even though it wasn’t the best performance we’ve seen from him, it was still enough to dictate the game and ensure Man City secured the victory when everything was said and done.
The Villans fought bravely but it just wasn’t to be.
